DMOS makes shovels.  

DMOS shovels show wear when they dig, but they keep working and won’t fail you.  

Other shovels break. Other shovels crack. Other shovels are built to fail so that the company that makes them has an ongoing revenue stream.  

That’s not the case with DMOS.

DMOS builds with a “buy once, cry once” philosophy. We strive to design, engineer, validate and fabricate the best shovels and gear in the U.S.A. Furthermore, we take no shortcuts because we believe that when you’re “out there,” our products need to provide the dependability and strength to meet your demands.

 

Our products have met our strict quality parameters. That said, our products are subject to three limitations:

  1. Use as designed: Our shovels work as shovels, not as pry bars or striking tools, in temperatures ranging from -40 degrees celsius to 170 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Materials limitations: Steel will still rust, even if we powder coat it. Stainless spring pins may rust if left in water or not kept free from dirt. Aluminum shafts will not telescope easily with sand on them. DMOS products, like all products meant to last, need to be cleaned, sharpened and maintained.
  3. Normal wear over time on all shovel blades and handles: Scratches, scrapes, chipped paint and decals, or wear tears, rips, or abrasive wear of the shovel blades is to be expected with normal use. This is the natural process of using a tool. All tools wear.

Looking to return your used DMOS and it's within 30 days of making your purchase?

You're in luck! We will accept a used DMOS product that was purchased within the last 30 days but please note, the cost of shipping + a $15 restocking fee will be deducted from your refund total.

IRONCLAD WARRANTY

Call us first to troubleshoot an easy fix—whether finding a stuck pin or reassembling a shaft. But if you experience a rare manufacturer defect within the first year of use, send word to us and we will examine the issue and issue an RMA for return. You must be the original owner, have a proof of purchase and must pay shipping back to us. Normal wear and tear, unintended uses—like pry-barring or cinder block breaking—and other damage that occurs as a result of a basic lack of common sense will not be covered by the warranty. Scratches, dents and rust are a result of normal wear and are not covered by the warranty—but they do make your tool look tougher. If there is a defect, we will replace or repair—at our discretion—your DMOS tool. Get the full details below:

To file a warranty claim follow the steps below:

  • Contact our customer service department and secure an RMA number. Shoot us an email.
  • To get an RMA number, please provide proof of purchase and a photo(s) of your product.
  • The product must have been purchased from DMOS or a DMOS-authorized dealer;
  • You are responsible for shipping your DMOS back to us; and
  • You must have used the product only as intended and in accordance with the product’s instructions.

 

If a defect occurs during 1 year post purchase, and you satisfy the warranty conditions outlined above, we will, at our sole discretion, either repair or replace the defective product or part at no cost to you, the original purchaser, other than shipping costs.

 

We will make every effort to replace limited edition or discontinued products but cannot guarantee their availability for replacement. Any limited edition or discontinued product still under warranty that cannot be replaced with an identical product will be replaced with an equivalent model based on availability. We may make changes to products and designs in the time you purchased your product and submitted a warranty claim. Products repaired or replaced under this warranty may or may not incorporate these changes. Repaired or replaced product is warranted from the original purchase date.  

 

The warranty does not cover: (a) defects caused by third-party: (i) modifications, (ii) repairs, or (iii) replacement parts; (b) normal wear and tear; or (c) the natural breakdown of materials over extended time and use (d) abuse and misuse of product.

WHAT THE LAWYERS MAKE US SAY

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES, WHETHER FOR BREACH OF WARRANTY, BREACH OF CONTRACT, NEGLIGENCE, OR OTHER TORT, OR ANY STRICT LIABILITY THEORY, WILL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. Some States do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY, AND OUR SOLE LIABILITY, FOR BREACH OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS LIMITED TO THE REMEDIES DESCRIBED ABOVE. OUR LIABILITY UNDER THIS WARRANTY WILL NOT EXCEED THE ACTUAL AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE DEFECTIVE PRODUCT. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights, which vary from State to State.

This limited 1 year warranty is only available in the United States and Canada. No DMOS reseller, agent, or employee is authorized to make any modification, extension, or addition to this warranty.
