6 Tools That Will Up Your Car Camping Game
Headed out for a weekend of camping? Here are the things that always make our list for car (or RV or van) camping. We'll bet you'll love 'em as much as we do.
The end of the day around camp is one of the best parts of camping. Adventures have been had, dinner has been cooked, and now, the campfire is crackling and ready for stories and maybe a few cold beverages. It doesn't get much better, but bring out this light, packable, and comfortable chair and we'll bet it does.
One thing we love about car camping as opposed to backcountry trips is being able to take the comfort level up a notch. When you're not worried as much about weight and space, so you can bring awesome things like this puffy blanket to make camp just a bit cozier.
These have been around for a while, but JetBoils remain at the top of our favorites list. Heat water quickly and easily for faster meals and a second round of coffee. Plus, now you can round out your kitchen kit with all sorts of cool accessories, like pots, utensils, and our personal favorite, the coffee press.
Headlamps at night are always necessary, but a steady, constant light source is incredibly helpful. These inflatable lights are solar charged so there's no need to buy new batteries, and light so you can hang them almost anywhere (trees, tents, etc.). And LuminAID helps fund a good cause which is a win-win in our book.
Obviously we're biased, but taking Stealth on our summer adventures has been helpful time and again. We've been pulling it out to buff out a bike trail, smooth out a tent site, or just dig out an old fire pit. Since it's packable it doesn't take up much room, and we're always glad to have it handy!
There's nothing worse than a warm beer on a hot day. Although a fancy coozie may not be at the top of your packing list, once you bring it on a few trips it will be! It didn't take us long to ditch the neoprene coozies we've been packing around for years in favor of actually keeping our beers cold.
