THE BACKSTORY
DMOS COLLECTIVE BEGAN AS
A PASSION PROJECT
In 2015, DMOS's Founder, Susan Pieper, grew frustrated watching her son break shovel after shovel trying to build kicker jumps in her Wyoming backyard. DMOS's first product, The Kicker Toolâ„¢, was launched in October 2015 as a Kickstarter Campaign that was successfully funded and backed by some of the biggest names in action sports.
Many years, more Kickstarter campaigns, and countless hard lessons later, we’ve managed to get enough things right to have a serious impact on people, professions and industries that we respect the hell out of. So as we continue to grow and understand our own potential every day, we appreciate you taking the time to get to know us a little more also.

Before DMOS, the only shovel that didn't get stolen from a job site was a shovel. Enter DMOS. By building shovels into unbreakable, essential gear for people who work in demanding conditions, DMOS shovels are owned and are personal gear. DMOS empowers people to be able to "Do My Own Sh*#" or stunts or stuff or shoveling. We never really defined the "S." Today, DMOS's brand stands for self-reliance, independence, and freedom. We are the antithesis of generic. We are purpose-built to bring out the hero in our customers.
