No Vacations: The Beauty of Multi-tasking, Hardworking Tools
As the last of the snow melts away here in Jackson Hole, we’ve begun our end-of-winter rituals. We’re packing away our heavy jackets, storing our skis in the garage, and beginning to (slowly) pull out our rafting gear and flip flops. We do the gear shuffle every spring and every fall because so many of these things really just have one job, or at least they only do one job really well. We've come to expect things to have one purpose.
But if we’re honest, we’ve always admired the products that stick with us all year. Those dependable, workhorse items that show up with a can-do attitude and do more than one thing well.
You know what we mean:
- The thermos that keeps hot drinks hot, and cold drinks cold.
- The ski pole that doubles as your tent pole.
- The wool pull-over that keeps you warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
- The multi-tool that opens your beer, tightens your stove, and removes a tricky fish hook.
This kind of gear has a special place in our heart, and it’s what we strive to deliver with DMOS tools. We want to make things that you always put in your kit, because it’s just so damn useful you’d hate to be without it (... just in case!)
We thought about the Stealth Shovel initially for snow, of course. But as we’re fully into springtime, we’re now digging garden beds, grooming dirt jumps, and cleaning corrals with the Stealth. And it is shows up, again and again: Ready to work and get the job done.
Customers are taking DMOS when they go four-wheeling, in case they get in a bind. But they’re also bringing our shovels to the beach to make amazing sandcastles.
Dirt jumpers are using the Stealth to smooth and groom their landings, while mom borrows it for the backyard to aerate the soil and plant seedlings.
Whatever the scenario, we promise you that a DMOS tool won’t be the one that takes the summers off. We like to work hard and play hard. So, we build tools that’ll show up for you the same way, no matter what you have in mind.
